I have also heard it will be a lot less hard rock/metal than previous Dave-era Van Halen discs....but you never know. I don't know that I have ever heard of a rumored report about songs or style that was 100% accurate.

I thought the album would have been titled, Anti-Chickenfoot.....I wonder if the "new" style is a copy of another bands style....like say Chickenfoot?

Doubtful.

Chickenfoot is all about Sammy's sound with Joe's leads filling the holes! With Dave back in the fold, I look for Van Halen to try to go back to the style they did on their classic stuff while keeping it a bit more modern, like the stuff from Twister.

As a Van Halen fan I will pass. For the simple reason that I don't think that Diamond Dave is that great. Now if he would have buried the hatched with Sammy then that would be a different story. No Sammy, No Van Halen for me
