Eddie Van Halen's marriage and new album title.

A friend who I had a part in leading to the lord wanted me to get ordained so that I could perform his marriage ceremony. I declined, politely, but found it was quite possible and by my standards somewhat "sleazy."

I would have had to simply pay and be ordained by a questionable, at best, Church that is state recognized. I couldn't, morally, feel okay about it, so I said no.

But it was an honor...

Anyway, back on the topic of Van Halen, I'll buy a new album... Seriously, people, it's Van Freaking Halen we're talking about here.

Personally, IMHO, I think these "ordained ministers" who pay a fee and get a piece of paper are a joke and are an insult to genuine called of God minsters. Not judging anybody, but does Alex even know the Lord from a pack of smokes?
There's a guy at work who has such a paper from such a website, and somebody else who's done that to marry 2 of their friends. I'm confident neither know the Lord from Adam! Would you let someone operate on you who got a piece of paper on line that says your a Surgeon?!

And that was sorta my problem with it, too. On the one hand, I was honored by my friends to be asked, but just couldn't get comfortable with the idea of what I'd have to do to legally perform those duties. It was quite an issue for me at the time...

I also am not a Sammy fan... as obnoxious as he is and as little real vocal talent he has, I still like DLR better! I even like his solo stuff... to me, it's just fun music!
