Digi's look better, but for storage and carrying purposes I will ALWAYS prefer a jewel case. It's just TOO easy to damage a digi, and they deteriorate too quickly. It won't stop me from buying a CD, but if given a choice, I'll get a jewel case version every time. I've even skipped over "special edition" things because the regular edition is jewel cased.

Jewel Case.

Better durability and better for storage. Digipaks do not fit on my cd racks...though they make for more space in the car.

Jewel case...hate, hate, hate digi-packs.

It always pisses me off too that when the record companies use the digi-packs, they act like they've done something special..."limited edition digi-pack!!!" Rolling Eyes

Truthfully, I think that the usage of digipaks by the big record companies is to simply drive us batty so that we'll get tired of CDs and switch to Mp3s. Yes, I enjoy the occassional conspiracy theory. I wrap my head with aluminium foil to keep the aliens from reading my mind.

I hate digi's. I get way to many that are messed up, and there is no way to tell until you open it. There is no simply just replacing the jewel case either.

Another vote for jewel case.

I hate digis. I hate that the liner notes (when you actually get any) are stuck in a "pouch" and they tend to fall out and get lost.

Digi packs must die.

Digipaks LOOK nice, but they don't hold up well, and they don't store as well as jewel cases. Give me jewel cases or give me death. Or better yet, give me Death's albums, all with jewel cases.

Yep, I've got all of Death's albums ... all in jewel cases. Just wish Nile could have done the same. lol!

I'd rather have jewel cases too. Some of the worst digipacks are the one's that flop open and fling out cds/bonus dvds and booklets all over the cat fur infested floor! They are also a storage nightmare.

Years ago, I got the Mortification Scrolls/Post Nuclear Blast digi pack. I already had the standard versions of each album, but I wanted the Butchered Mutilation bonus track as well. Eventually, I also acquired this track in a jewel case via a re-release of Break The Curse. scratch

lol!

Yeah classic mate.
Well I'm happy to open fire against the stampeding masses and buy digipaks.
I find jewel cases great and all, but if an album I want is released in digipak format, I will ALWAYS buy it. Twisted Evil

1. It will usually come with bonus tracks and/or dvd stuff
2. The artwork is always expanded and usually better quality
3. IT IS COOLER Twisted Evil .

I totally understand every reason given here for jewel cases, but I try and look after my albums, and to me digipaks enhance that "whole album experience".

I usually prefer jewel cases but if all digipaks were of the quality of Mortification's new digipak TEADM I would probably prefer the digi's.
