| This was hard to put into a subject line so I appologize for any confusion. The best example of what I'm thinking of, for me, is DEF LEPPARD. This band has done everything from classic rock to hair metal, industrial to light-pop and retro throwbacks to their original influences... and I like it all! Bands like Bride get a lot of criticism for changing styles all the time, but what are some bands that have made at least one huge style change and you actually liked it along with their original style? _________________ Love Bomb Baby!

| Bands I enjoy multiple styles from? VERY few and far between. Deliverance is probably the big exception, and I enjoy Motley Crue's S/T disc just as much if not more than most of their other works.....but that's pretty close to the end of the list. I WOULD have said Extol, but really the only things of theirs I still truly enjoy are Undecieved and Burial. If you want to expand it to "works connected to the Extol camp", because a lot of this stuff included the same group of guys, then add Lengsel's solace to the list, as well as Ganglion. Different band namess, but essentially the same guys were involved in Extol's Synergy and Blueprint Dives, Lengsel's Solace, and the Ganglion stuf.... _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....

| Deliverance is a good choice. I like Lillian Axe's hair sound and i'm enjoying their more modern groove sound. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | Guns N Roses! One of my all time favorite bands (I'd have a hard time choosing between them and Queen). I love everything they've ever released! Appetite -- punk laced hard rock Lies -- more of a classic rock feel (although it was recorded before appetite), especially on "Move To The City" and of course their cover of Mama Kin Use Your Illusion (both) -- has moments similar to Appetite (like Right Next Door To Hell, Back Off B!tch, etc), but also has a lot of classic rock'n'roll, like Dust 'n' Bones, Bad Apples, etc. The Spaghetti Incident -- pure punk and glam punk Chinese Democracy -- modern metal, with a lot of Elton-inspired melodes (like in Better, If The World, and There Was A Time) |

| I don't like it all equally, but I'm going to say DOKKEN as well. Each of their releases is at least listenable to me. _________________ Love Bomb Baby!

| How about Skid Row? S/T: slick, polished glammy metal Slave to the Grind: Heavy metal, without the polish of the S/T B-Side Ourselves: uncategorizable due to the selection of songs, which ranges from classic metal (Delivering the Goods), to Psycho Therapy (punk), to Little Wing (classic rock) Subhuman Race: grungy heavy metal with no trace of glam (and yes, i LOVE this album!) |
