I am not a huge fan, but i do appreciate the guitar solos in a more mainstream band....

You've almost certainly got some idea of how wide my tastes are in hard rock/heavy music/metal....

IMO the only AVENGED SEVENFOLD album worth hearing/owning is City Of Evil. Twisted Evil

That one is not that bad IMO.

This band is just a product of today's industry and lacks talent and creativity overall. I really don't know what people see in them.

They have plenty of talent. Their guitarist can throw down. Whether or not anyone likes their style is a different story.

Well, it's 2008 and we don't know what we are anymore. The screamo thing is cool, but wait, here comes Shadows Fall and DragonForce and a couple of other gimmick-handicapped bands thrust into the limelight that might make "shred" "cool" again. OK, let's do that. Wait...wait...... there's a cock-rock revival happening too. Let's throw some of that in........ The image though, the scene kids are still all about that image, let's keep most of that how it is. Super, now we're individuals. tongue

I like City of Evil for what it is. Ult is right...the guitarist can definitely rip. The new self-titled disc is pretty good as well, but anything prior to CoE is not very good, in my opinion. The early vox are NOT good....
