As I Lay Dying - An Ocean Between Us

I know this album came out last year but I just recently aquired it and I have to say it freaking slays! This is some quality metal. Awesome solos and most of the songs are nice and fast Smile

Anyone else dig this disc?

Yeah,its my favorite album of theirs.More Thrash and less core on this one.

This band is really painfully in-between for me. This album... good riffs, good leads....sounds good so far...... and then the vocals and the vocal melodies go splat and sound like total run-of-the-mill, uninspired metalcore... sort of exactly like what the new In Flames sounds like, actually..... what's the point of watering it down to such an exact percentage? Will these bands keel over and die if they don't have lame comb-over screaming? If the hardcore breakdown is erased from existence, will the world stop turning? If we suffocate a new idea and let the 'dirty vocals in verses, aggro-clean vocals in chorus' idea rest it's beaten head for a while, will music as we know it just end?

A little doesn't make a lot for me, so until they put out some real meat.............................

I like it. The last two albums are very listenable to me.
