LOL! I love John MacArthur's teachings, but yeah I have no doubt that he or Paul Washer would have a legalistic fit if they saw my music collection. |

Bwahahhaha!!! I forgot.....they'd have a serious fit if they saw my avatar! For all they know, that could be a delicious, refreshing non-alcoholic drink I could be holding (though it' not.)
Don't get me started on what they would say about the tattoo on my wrist. |

Gotta be Jagar. |
Great game, Tex! But darn it, it has to end even before the game has begun....
Candy's right....it's Jagarmeister. It was New Year's Eve 2008 and I told my friend in Texas (Angel) that I'd have a Jagar for her that night and take a pic. I did keep half that promise by having the drink and taking the pic. I could only handle two sips of the drink before giving it to my friend who went out with me that night, she drank the rest of it. I don't like the taste of liquid black licorice. Bleh. |

| When I was in The Doors tribute I drank a lot of Jagar, to get drunk quicker, I did not care much for the taste. Wich brings me to the theme of this thread, I recently got rid of most of my secular rock collection, wich was quite a bit. Looking back now I'm not sure if I acted in haste, but what's done is done. Time to focus on my relationship w/God in Christ, the music will then take care of it's self. _________________ "I'm wrong about fifty percent of the time, I'm just not sure wich fifty percent!"

Sip? Sip?!?!? SIP?!?!?!?!? You dont sip a fine drink like that - you SLAM it down - not that I advocate drinking or anything
And what Candle said - definitely goin to Hell! |
Maybe if the drink tasted like a smooth and creamy milk chocolate candy bar (or even Belgian chocolate), I would've chugged the drink.....but black licorice? Ewww. That's just so....wrong.
Yup, Washer and MacArthur might say I'm going to hell, because of the incrimnating picture of me holding a drink in a toast. Bad bad bad, D! *D slams her fist on the table and raises her voice, much like how Paul Washer slams his fist repeatedly on the pulpit and raises his voice when he preaches.* |

| I struggle with this question alot myself. I don't klnow what the correct answer is. I love everything from The Bealtes to Pantera to Tori Amos to Hatebreed and everything in between. Should I not listen to John and Paul sing about love and peace because they weren't a Christian band? When it comes right down to it I don't think our tastes in music is really gonna be a big factor on the day we meet our Lord. |

Praise God our salvation is not dependent on the types of music we listen to.
I remember hearing Pastor Chuck Smith say a few months back that he does not see how mosh pits at a Christian metal concert can glofiy God. While I love Pastor Chuck Smith, I found this rather odd coming from the man who let hippies in his church, allowed guitars and drums to be played as worship music when it was looked down upon, and was really instrumental in opening the doors for other forms of praise music, including Christian metal and Christian rap. |
