| Early Mortiis (is that even ambient). Pretty much the only thing that MIGHT fit under that genre that I like. _________________ Romans 6:1-23 |

| I love a lot of stuff that could be described as having ambient traits, and that give off an ambient mood, but very little which is actually classified itself as 'ambient'.... _________________ Dark motions, black eyes, and mournful lust, the wings of solitude ...I'm the hateful raven

| If you want to check into the ambient genre, you need to get TrogDawn in here. He's your man for this genre. In fact, he'll probably be along pretty soon. Here's a couple that I've gotten into so far: Tangerine Dream Brian Eno I got into those two artists first becuase they were innovators in this particular realm, starting in the 70s and going from there. So check those two out. _________________ ozzzzeyyyy-ZIGGG! (requires gig)

| Don't forget our own Troglodyte Dawn. The first disc is a Doom/Ambient mix. The 2nd one is pure Ambient.. very cool stuff to zone out to. |

| Ever hear of Stealth Sonic Orchestra? How about Apollo 440? They're the same band, and some of their stuff makes GREAT ambient... ex.: Machine in the Ghost. About the only things I have in my collection that could qualify are A440, Robyn Miller (Myst OST) and the AC04 Shattered Skies OST (and if anyone can tell me who wrote/performed that music, I'll owe you a cookie). |

| I love a lot of ambient....always like to have a contrast to metal when in the mood .....eg Brian Eno, Harold Budd, the Moby ambient stuff, aphex twin's ambient stuff, boards of canada, and quite a lot of other stuff that can be classified as ambient/atmosperic or experimental electronica....... |

There's another one I like. Have you ever seen Chris Cunningham's music videos for Aphex Twin? _________________ ozzzzeyyyy-ZIGGG! (requires gig)

| A bit of confusion here I think. I have similar feelings to OCI here. For good ambient I'd check out Desiderii Marginis. Cool, but one of those artists where I feel like I'm missing out on something cause I'm not high while listening to the music. |
