I believe that since they have emotions they do. Something like a plant for example, cant show you love or be loyal to you, but an animal can, and since to love one another is the greatest commandment then IMO they do have souls. Plus, why would God have created them on Earth? Before the fall its not like they were used for food after all (since there was no death in the world until sin entered in).
