Yeah I would like to have this as well. It seems retroactive and open grave are leaning more into this reissuing of classic material mode which I think is WAY rad....the heavens force demos gave me hope recently.

Along with Tempest I would love to see cool re releases of The moshketeers, red ink, abhor evil, immortal, eric blair and oz foxs demo...etc.

I would absolutely love to see the Blairing Out stuff get reissued!!! that would scream!!

Here's Jamie's response:

'We
had started recording and about 4 days in, we stopped in the office to
meet everyone. When we were there, Ray Nenow, the pres of the label,
was overheard saying "Where's the black guy"! I was told that they did
make the mistake but were still glad to have this Tempest on the label.
They had funded a track for "Heavy Righteous Metal" about40 days
earlier so they knew the sound they were getting, but for some reason
thought they were getting the Ohio band.
Honestly, my favorite thing
from the Tempest time period is that I met Tony Palacios through a
writer who was writing about Tempest at the time and had just
interviewed Guardian.'

And there you have it!

I just about fell out of my chair reading this! I actually have a good original of Annihlation of the Wicked and it's one of my favorite demo tapes by far. I received the tape from Warren Harris, who I ordered the tape from. Sad to hear he had renounced rock music later on.

Anyways, I've had this tape in my collection since the early 80s and I think I might be willing to part with it IF I received a good offer. Now please understand, I love the demo to death. But I've had it in my collection for over 20 years and now have it on wav. files on my computer. Beings it's been with me for so long, I think I'm ready to part with it. I doubt I'll ever see another original in my lifetime. I thought about putting it up on eBay at one point, but then I struck that idea down--who's going to know about it on eBay?

Rest assured, I am not Number One Son or any other scam outfit. I wrote for White Throne magazine as Flame, and I can be vouched for in terms of my credibility. I still love metal, and try to attend C-stone Fest every summer I can for their Day of Metal, which is killer!

Please email me at wlds@telus.net if you are interested. I have other cool demos, tho a majority of them were stolen in Portland, OR in 1996.

Peace --Doug

You are the third writer from the only fanzine that mattered to join up here.

Someone get Dave Johnson and J Emerson H to join and we've got a bona fide White Throne reunion on our hands. Free copies of WT for everybody .

Sadly, J Emerson H is no longer with us. He is now enjoying his eternal reward.

It's good to be on here--I started catching up on some of the links last night and have enjoyed reading the discusions.

I miss John Heald (J Emerson H), whom I did not know well. John was the drummer for Amada and helped form Xalt, if memory serves me right.

I agree, David "Commander Mosh" Johnson needs to join. I kinda think Kevin Crothers might be in touch with him. Can we kidnap Dave long enough to put him in lockdown long enough to entise him to log onto here? I think it could be done...Kevin, you have wheels?...

Sheesh--I love the fact white metal is still alive and well, and old school isn't just about old farts sitting around trying to re-live the past. So many bands like Ultimatem are turning the heat up. I also love the new stuff coming out--most of Bombworks catalogue is simply amazing.

Love you all (fighting back the tears, LOL)

Hey Flame the email is not working. I'd like a crack at that Rare Demo and a list of others you might have. I am desperately looking for Ritual, External Decease and Palvonta. Did you not also write for Powerline or do I have you confused with another White Thronian?

I don't exactly know if Doug wrote for them, but I know for a fact the Dave Mutillo wrote for Powerline and White Throne.

Thanks Kev. That sounds about right. Do you still have contact with Dave Mutillo?

I am not mistaken that one one guy also wrote the small Christian Report in RIP Magazine as well it was a short lived feature about 6 to 8 issue is all the had the Christian Report it when everyone was looking for the next Stryper in the L.A. Club scene. I remember seeing Guardian, Eternal Ryte, Barren Cross, Roxway, Electrix, H.E.R.O. Holy Solider, and Spectra. How is that for a walk down memory lane? LOL
