What did you guys think of the music? I know the vocal thing is mixed who knows maybe the Josh thing was a geographical situation but how about the songwriting lyrical content and guitar bass and drum playing. Are these guys any good?
Favorite songs? ????????????

I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually, haven't been able to afford anything lately, a few I want to pick up down the road as soon as the cash flow fet's rollin' again.

Top priority:

Veni Domine - Tongues
Saint - CSI
Ultimatum - Into the Pit
Candlemass - King of the Grey Island
Rob Rock - Chaotic Garden

The songwriting is pretty good. Saint deals with different topics from the Holocaust to the Lordship of Christ on this disc.

The drumwork, guitar work, and bass is typical Saint. The band is tight, and the songs flow well from one to another.

The rhythm guitars are a little low in the mix to me. During the vocal and lead guitar parts, the rhythm guitars almost get washed out in places. I know that the vocals or leads should be prevalent, but I would have liked just a little more. This isn't bad--I just wanted more.

The vocals themselves, while different, do grow on you with time. I'm not ready to proclaim this as Saint's best, but I am liking it more with each spin.

^ ^ ^ ^ The question above and Alldat's answer to it. scratch Spot on. Twisted Evil ^ ^ ^ ^

Music is very, very, very subjective.......i'll just add this into what he says above:

SAINT is my favorite Christian band. Bar none. Numero uno. Always have been and probably always will be.

And......i've heard a couple dozen bands so I have some experiential basis for liking them. Twisted Evil

I don't really know how I would rank a top 10 favorite bands anymore. While I still love the classic hard rock/metal sound, there are several modern rock bands that have become favorites too. To be quite honest, I get more than a little bored with only metal or only modern rock. But, a healthy flux of both is cool!

I love the disc and think the music is typical Saint...excellent!

Not from what I understand. Josh moved, so it has made it more difficult for the entire band to get together is my understanding. But I have never heard anything about a rift in the band.

I also think people are being pretty judgemental about the vocalist situation considering many people who have commented have admitted to not even hearing the CD yet.

Haven't heard the cd yet, waiting to give an opinion until I actually hear the whole album.

I know as a fan we expect Halford vocals from Saint but just think of the curse that must be. Even Rob got to grow out of that era. Saints always stayed heavy and for his first outing I thought RL did a fine job. And Josh sounded great as always he's such a talented guy. And Dee is just a metal hit machine.

This poor missionary finally got this and it's good. Now Josh is such an awesome vocalist I miss him not being on it more but Richard does fine. If I hadn't expected Josh this would not bother me at all. It's probably goint to be my third fave by them.
