sound that the group’s larger musical purpose is “to reach a greater audience
with the life changing message of Jesus Christ!
I have a dream

God is a God who answers your
dreams/prayers as long as you put him first. I am confident to say I am really a
no-one and for these great singers and musicians to sing on my project is a
testament of his grace and mercy.”

Putting that passion into a catalog of albums
that includes

collection, ‘
4- All: The Best of

group’s forthcoming studio LP, ‘
Light It Up,’ due in the fall of 2009, Liberty N’ Justice, as Murr continues, endeavors heading into the future to celebrate their faith through music that is "bigger, louder… Big guitars, big hooks, big vocals, and the thing that makes a LNJ project...BIG NAMES!

Congrats, Justin! By the way...interesting choice for "Greed"! Having heard the demo, I can "hear" how this will work! Like it....at least in my head! LOL!

Why the name change for the album?

There are still a few alive in kicking in the styles that Retroactive handles. We can only hope they find more!

Christian book stores don't like that kind of reference to smoking evidently. My artwork won't be gracing the cover now either for the same reason. Crying or Very sad

Can you post the cover that was going to be used Rex? I'd like to see it.

BTW, Christian Bookstores won't be carrying the new Ultimatum CD because of the song selection and the cover art.

If you get a chance for distribution, Arttie, you should take it.

As far as the LNJ and Retroactive hook up, I think it will be a great fit.

With only 1000 being printed, and a lot of those being snapped up by CMR members, there won't likely be that many that could be carried by stores. I'll leave that part up to Bill, though...he's the record label guy!

Could you do one LNJ cover for the christian stores and one for the others?

That's what I thought too, but I guess Matt at Retro didn't want me working on it for some reason.

matt from retroactive changed the title and the name of the 2nd track
his money he can change it Very Happy the christian market sometimes takes things for face value and a man smoking a cigar on an album cover or a song called 'bastard" no matter what the spiritual point, message, or sermon I was trying to relay the bookstores wont carry it... I will keep the title and album and release an ep called "TCC"

This is just bs! I really thought we were over censorship like this!

And for the record, Light It Up is a clear smoking reference too. I just think of marihuana (sp?) instead of a cigar! Nice going, "Christian" market! Rolling Eyes

I understand that you feel that the hand that feeds you, so to speak, should have a saying. But it's your songs, and your art!

As for the cover Rex created, it is awesome!

Unfortunately, this kind of bias is VERY prevalent in Christian bookstores. While I did not find your previous cover offensive, just let some soccer mom with three kids and a minivan get upset over it and call corporate. Your disc could be pulled from that chain before the day was out.

Remember the "controversial" cover that Stryper did for "Reborn"? It almost got them banned from Lifeway! Can you imagine that? I bet they'll have a total hissy fit with "Murder By Pride" then! (Insert sarcasm)

No, I've got no problem at all with Matt's decision. My sarcasm was aimed at the store owners who carry so much product that they have no idea what the content is. If someone complains loud enough, bookstores will pull product to appease the person who got offended (usually someone else who doesn't have a clue about content).

To me, Matt's had to deal with this crappola before and is just insuring that LNJ stays on the shelves to make purchasing easier. Good call, really.
