| I'm interested in a reissue, but to pay that price for a demo cassette is nuts. _________________ “If you make less than $250,000 your taxes will not go up. | Thx for the welcome Arttie! I only played with them for about 3 to 4 months. I could have stayed with them indefinitly but i screwed up by not wanting to work at a "grease pit" job after i lost my main job in San Antonio. I took the place of their rythem guitarist who died after being poisoned by a practicing witch. Sounds too wild to be true huh?! The members were all really sold out to the Lord. I was not at the time though. I am now fulfilling my calling by placing scripture to song at www.wordsong.info with a friend of mine. Gosh Pershing, i haven't seen, talked to, or even thought about the band very much. It was about 20 yrs ago so it's all history to me now. I had a Paradox t-shirt and a tape or two but that's about it. I still have there old address in San Antonio, but you KNOW they're not living there any more. Sorry i'm not of any more help. Tim |

| Thanks for the post Tim. Glad to hear that you are serving God with your talents. Still on my quest to see all the old Paradox music released on CD! Hopefully, as we get the word out this will become a reality! --Pershing-- |

It does sound too wild to be true, concidering that founding guitarist John Vidaurri died in a head on car collision not by some spell casting witch as you say. Smells fishy. Tim care to come back and clear this up? |

Actually, I believe he said that the witch administered a poison. Nothing was said about the casting of a spell.
Incidentally, it was just the other day that a U.S. tourist was killed in Rome.
The tourist and his wife were befriended by a man who offered to buy them each a coffee. But as it turns out, the man had laced the coffee with drugs, with the intention of robbing the couple.
After the husband was robbed, he staggered off, stumbled upon some train tracks and ended up being hit by a passing train and killed.
And the reason I thought of this incident is because it could have potentially been a similar situation.
Was this tourist killed by the guy who drugged him, or by the train that hit him?
In a sense, it would actually seem that both answers are correct.

| Hi Joe, Good to see you. About the death of John Vidaurri. Right, i said posion, not spell casting. First of all i was told this by either one of the members or there girlfriends/wifes. I have better things to talk about here as a first time poster than lies or stretched truths. And naturally they wouldn't lie about something like that as they were pretty shook up. I sometimes wondered how they felt about me taking his place and all, not to mention i was the only Gringo in the bunch . But as Joe said it could have easily happened that way (if my memory serves me correct that is exactly how it happened - i think you gave a 'Word of Knowledge' there Joe ). Tim p.s. i liked the draft demo you sent last night. |

| I remember now. Paradox was playing at a secular bar that night. The girl put something in his (non-achoholic) drink and it was that night he was killed in the accident. They found poison in his blood at the hospital. I'm 99% positive on this. |

| Hey everyone, I am brand new to this group and this is my 1st post. But I remember Paradox pretty well. Back in the day I had a secular group called Magnum Opus; we went to the Paradox bible study back in 1988 led by Bro. John (he kinda looked like Norm from Cheers). I believe the study was at John and Liz Vidaurri's house. I met John and Liz through my sister Deb who knew Liz in college as the were in photography class at SAC. Over the years I got to know the band members at large: Manuel, Fern, John, Philip and Efran. More to come... Shalom, Pastor Roland hardrockchurch.com |
