Mission Of One update!!!

I've got the CDs ordered. I must say that I think the self-mastering has gone quite well.

You can hear 4 songs from the new s/t Mission Of One CD at MySpace.

Two of the songs, "Surrender" and "I Will Worship You", actually have me playing lead guitar. Of course, I did most of the leads this time.

You can also stream MP3s of the whole CD. I have signed up with SNOCAP to be able to sell MP3s directly from my MySpace page. So, you can hear the disc BEFORE it's actually available.

But, you might have to wait. MySpace was having a few technical difficulties with the SNOCAP application.

Anywho, take a listen and tell me what you think. You will notice that this is more varied in song style, but it still has a good cohesive hard rock sound. Even the couple of tracks that I intended to be more modern came off with a classic rock sound.

Glad you all like it. I'll be honest that I was worried about how this would be received. When I started this two years ago, I wanted to throw in touches of everything that I liked. So, you'll hear some 70s style rock, some 80s style metal, some funk (but a really rockin' funk), some blues, a couple of modern worship stuff ala Third Day, a touch of punk here and there (which actually helped get part of that 70s sound......weird), and a little modern rock. But, when you turned on the musical blender, it came off sounding like one project well thought out in style. All the songs seem to fit together and flow.

I'll let you all know when the CDs are available. It won't be long!

I must say that this would not sound nearly so good if it were not for Thomas Wilson and Jon Hooper. They took the time to answer several questions I had about mixing. They both have a wealth of knowledge and I was glad to have access to that!

I should have CDs available in a couple of days. The proof copy from CreateSpace is on the way to me. Once I see/hear it, then all I have to do is confirm online and up goes the webstore & Amazon.com sales.
