I sure hope not. It says in the profile that he's been playing guitar and singing in rock, metal and blues bands his whole life. Someone on sleazeroxx was wondering if there was any new Steven Patrick material out there. I haven't been able to find any of his supposed dabbling in country music. This was the only link I could find.

It's not him... This same guy has a myspace site and he looks nothing like Steven Patrick of HS.
Steven was last known to be working on a counrty album though.

Ok thanks. I guess nothing has materialized from his country career then.

I know its country, but if that voice is *the* Steven Patrick, I'll spew my Cheerios. Its a totally different voice, and I can scarcely believe it could be the same dude.

I still don't get what so many people saw in Steven Patrick's voice. I had their debut CD, which was ok I guess, but his voice always sounded strange to me. Nasal yet somewhat strained. Not awful or anything, but since people seem to REALLY like his vocals, I cannot understand how it sounds indifferent to me.

I disagree wholeheartedly! I think that he has a very unique voice and that is what makes it so awesome! I love his HS stuff and his solo album Red Reign was sweet too.

His voice was like Sebastian Bach Lite. I liked it.

Did he really sound THAT bad at the Up from The Ashes show? Strange how his voice would go like that... especially since he didn't really do any falcetto screams or anything. Is the dvd horrible sounding as well then?

I'm with you. I liked his voice, but didn't love it the way so many others did. His voice did fit the music though, both with Holy Soldier and on his solo record.

His voice was way different on the "Encore" album that Holy Soldier released. I liked his voice but it really changed on that album. Kind of like Tom Kiefer of Cinderella on the "Still Climbing" album. I know he had vocal problems while making that album.

Exactly. It was ok and adequate, but nothing of this world. I remember the guitarwork from that album (that I parted with almost immediately) a lot more than his vocals.

One of the best voices in all of hair metal IMHO. My 9 year old son has played the self titled and Last Train constantly for years now. All he talks about is how great Steven's voice is and I have to agree.

Steven's got one of those rare voices that is almost fluid in the way it wraps itself around lyrics. Maybe he's not the greatest "technical" vocalist, but he sure as hell knows how to create a very disctinct emotion with his voice. I have loved his voice ever since I first got a tape copy of the self titled when I was 13. I have both the albums on disc now, and they still get their fair share of spin time. I've never understood why some people despise his voice.

I think the reason some people love his voice is the same reason some people hate it: His singing is very emotive. Some people hear a cool passionate voice and others hear a whiney Mike Tramp-type thing.

For the record, I like his voice but it was an acquired taste.

Odd I read about his works with HS and his solo ablum. I do not see no mention of his first group Victory. This was I believe His first album he made. He produce it.
Last day Records Emerald Stare Music 1987.
Steve O'Donnell Lead and Backing Vocals, rhythm guitars and keyboards
Sean O'Donnell lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals and keyboards
Kelly McDonald bass, keyboards and backing vocals
David McNinch drums, guitar and backing vocals

His real name is stve patrick O'Donnell. For me this is some of my favorite works of his just because it is his own creative work and he really just goes for it.
