| Decided to take a listen to this album today, and man do I love it! It's easily my favorite HS album, although I do really enjoy the S/T as well. Man this band could write some killer hooks! Every time I take a listen to LT I get something stuck in my head, whether it's Virtue and Vice, Hallow's Eve, or any of the songs actually. My personal favorite song from the album is probably the aforementioned Virtue and Vice, Hallow's Eve... and... well, the rest of the album frankly Great hooks, great album, great band! _________________ -Men Fail Me, but the Son of God Saves...

| I Love their version of "Gimme Shelter". _________________ I'm not going to taste you to verify if you have bad taste or not, but let's just say I strongly suspect that you do.

| IMO "Last Train" was their best album. Not that the self-titled is bad, but for my money Last Train was their crowning moment. _________________ -- Peace, that brief moment in history when everyone stops to reload. |

| I agree...SO many great songs on this disc. If "Crazy" had had the right promotion, it could have done well on mainstream airwaves! |

| Both of their first two records were incredible and could have been much bigger. Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| I can't get past the horrible drum tones on this album...every few years I break it out to see if I was wrong and every time it's the same thing. Worst drum machine sounding triggers I've ever heard on an album. And it's a shame, cuz they had one of the best drummers around. |

Totally agree! Could remastering fix this at all? |

| Great, great album! I should dig this out today and listen to it. It's been a long time. Dead End Drive is probably my favorite track with Fairweather Friend being a close second. Gimme Shelter is the weak point IMO. |

| I LOVE the cover of Gimme Shelter. Then again, i'm a big fan of the Stones, so I like hearing other bands do them justice. In my opinion, Last Train is one of those rare albums in the christian market that is so perfect, it's a shame that it wasn't up there in the secular market at the same level of the Motley Crue and Bon Jovi, in terms of sales and popularity. The first disc is pretty near flawless as well. BOTH those discs really blew away most other secular bands at the time. _________________ A Wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is early, he arrives precisely when he means to

| Love the album. Gimmie Shelter is awesome but the star of that tune is Robin. She wailed. My 2nd fav. version. Ashley Clevland has a live version that smokes. |

| I really liked this album when it came out, but it became my favorite because of stuff that happened. My mom died back in '95, and it was on a Tuesday. She just passed in her sleep from severe sleep apnea. So, the song "Tuesday Mourning" felt as though it had been written for me after than point. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| Last train is my favourite of their albums.. it is very hard rocking album with awesome hooks and the atmosphere in the album is very dark and emotional. Yep.. good rock! |

| Holy Soldier and Last Train are their best albums - a crowning achievment. Promise Man has its moments. but their first 2 albums are more superior. The live album Encore helps to reinforce this. |

+1. I've still got the first two, but couldn't really get into the third. I passed it on to my brother some years back and haven't given it a second thought. _________________ The AK-47: Designed to be field stripped, reassembled, and used effectively by half-drunk, half-frozen, illiterate conscripts.
