I really liked this album when it came out, but it became my favorite because of stuff that happened. My mom died back in '95, and it was on a Tuesday. She just passed in her sleep from severe sleep apnea. So, the song "Tuesday Mourning" felt as though it had been written for me after than point.

Wow. I'll bet it did. That's an awesome story about how God can use music.

What I found surpeising is that Myrrh records dropped Holy Soldier some time after Last Train came out for lack of sales. I don't know of a band that was as hard working as Holy Soldier. They were a touring band and had at least one vido for each of their first 3 CDs along with a 1 or 2 singles from each album. I know the music scene was after changing at this time but they had a following from devoted fans. I guess if you are a record label, christian or not, money is more important. For a band to sell, it takes a pertnership of the band and label.

There was no radio support for most of the Christian metal bands. WAY-FM, who was probably the largest entity back then, wouldn't touch anything metal. Petra was as heavy as it got. So, the labels wouldn't push the stuff. It'sa miracle that the bands lasted as long as they did.
