Got the new Heavn's Metal!

All the bands up my alley. Looking forward to savoring this one nice and slow.

Anyone else do that? I noticed when I first started getting this I'd sit down and read it all at once, only to have those "post anticipation blues". Now, I read a little at a time so as to make the two month wait a little sweeter.

Who all is in the new issue? I let my subscription lapse a long time ago. Seemed like there were just a lot of more extreme metal bands in it that I couldn't care less about.

Even the news section was old by the time a new issue hit. Where is the Christian metal news? Message boards, MySpace, Etc.

The new issue of "Heaven's Metal" arrived yesterday. I find it a bit ironic how the inside back cover features a full page ad from Raging Storm Records about the new Under Command CD, "Back In The Thick". Yet, when you go to the Raging Storm website or MySpace profile there is no information given as how to order the CD.

The only thing I can find is a link to "pre-order Back In The Thick now for $10" at the Under Command page at ragingstormrecords.com. Yet, since "Back In The Thick" was released on March 21, 2009 that information, obviously, is out of date.

I hate to be negative but it is shear neglect to leave your website out of date in such a manner.

Anybody know what is going on here? Any chance we can get an update from Raging Storm Records?

I believe they are honoring that price. But, if you prefer, drop Under Command a note on MySpace and they will tell you how to order directly from the band.

But here is my point: the Raging Storm Records website does not specify they are still honoring the pre-order price. And besides- two e-mails sent to Raging Storm regarding the matter went ignored. So I am left at odds as to what is going on here.

I am not on MySpace because I do not want to. As the designer/administrator of Angelic Warlord, a MySpace profile/account is one more headache I would have to worry about.

And besides that is not my point. A label should not make it so difficult and challenging to order a CD of a band in which it has signed. In other words, I should not have to contact the artist to find out how I should purchase their CD. The label should take the initiative to provider proper distribution for the bands it has signed- something which Raging Storm has not. For example, you still cannot find "Back In The Thick" at reputable retailers such as CD Baby.

At this point Raging Storm needs to take a more active role in managing the artists in which it has signed. Am I the only one here to feel this way?

Maybe--I did the preorder. My CD did not come after the preorders began shipping due to the owner of Raging Storm moving to another state. I sent a couple of emails, but they took care of everything and responded. Since the dude was moving, I had to cut him some slack.

OK- thanks for the input. I had no idea Raging Storm had just completed a move. So I will cut them some (much needed) slack as well. I am sure they will have their site up to date in the near future.

Also, in re-rereading my posts they came across a bit heavy handed and that was not my intention. It looks like a certain amount of patience is required here.

...I, for one, prefer the extreme bands...but, with so many genres, you're not gonna please everyone...me, I think there should be a rag specifically targeted to the extreme side of Christian metal...like Terrorizor or Pit magazines...
