| I think EPs are usually lame. I do like the Zao/Training for Utopia split, though. And Frost Like Ashes--Pure as the Blood Covered Snow. |

| I have a ton of them that I love. EPs give bands a chance to put out odd stuff they wouldn't put on a normal album... Here are a few I thought of right away. QUEENSRYCHE - EP ULTIMATUM - Til the End! ACCUSER - Confusion Romance NEVERMORE - In Memory TESTAMENT - Return to the Apocalyptic City HIRAX - Assassins of War HIRAX - Chaos & Brutality ANTHRAX - Armed & Dangerous JACKYL - Stayin' Alive (though it's actually long enough to be a full length)_________________

| I'm not big on EPs. I'd rather the band wait until they have enough material or enough cash to put out a full length CD. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| There is one good thing about the MP3 market nowadays. At least if there is an EP I might be interested in, I just buy the MP3s. I hate buying a CD less than half full. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| I like a lot of them. As Ult said, it gives bands a chance to do out of the ordinary things, like covers or experimental songs. Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

I think that's why I don't usually like them. They just tease you and leave you unsatisfied, wanting more. It's a good strategy I suppose for a band that wants to keep fans interested, but personally I don't like feeling unsatisfied.
I like albums that leave me feeling as full as a big, hearty meal. |

| I have several EPs that I really like, it is a fantastic way for young/broke bands to get some of their music out, or a good way for bands to keep up new releases when they don't have a lot of new material written. Also cool for bands to release odd stuff that might never make a typical band release (like Tourniquet's "Carry the Wounded" EP) Here are a few of my favorite EPs Aava - A Night in the Wild Garden Amos - Lost Essence Faith Factor - 7/7/07 Illuminandi - Demos 1 & 2 Impellitteri - Victim of the System Place of Skulls - Love Through Blood Saint - Warriors of the Son Tourniquet - Carry the Wounded Tykkus - Umlaut Venia - In Our Weakness _________________ -- Peace, that brief moment in history when everyone stops to reload. |

| I actually really like EP's. Especially because there are songs on EP's that would normally not make the album, but are to good to get lost in thin air. Antestor - Det Tapte Liv Tourniquet - Carry The Wounded Deuteronomium - Retaliatory Strike Extol - Paralysis |

| It's all about the songs. I don't care how long it is, if the songs are good it's worth getting and if they're bad it's worth skipping. The Italian label Underground Symphony has released some great power metal and they released some EPs, presumably to test how bands would do on the market. Ambermoon, Arachnes, Wonderland, others... Doesn't matter that they're not full length, because they've got good songs. |

| Usually with an ep I, come away feeling disapointed. Not enough good material, it seems like you got 4 songs with one good one, or bands pack them with remixed versions, or you get cover songs that no one should cover. The only ep's I have ever been happy with is Extol - Mesmerized, and Outcry - Hope for the Torn Heart |
