Jimmy liked the old 80s christian band "Vector'' and this was one of their songs. I liked a few of their songs such as 'Surrender' and 'Hear what i say'.

I remember that song. Just found the Deliverance version on MySpace. The blog seems to indicate that it was recorded for Assimilation, but dropped. At least that's how I interpret it.

Didn't Jimmy release it as a Christmas present a few years ago? When my computer crashed I lost it. Would LOVE if someone could email it to me.

Man, for whatever reason, I always thought this was David Bowie cover! :lol So this was recorded around, what, 2000/2001 then?

That sounds about right. IIRC, it actually was released prior to Assimilation (though that could have simply been some folks at the old "D" board being given a special preview....).

It was released on the old D board on Christmas that year of Assimilation....whatever that is.

Haven't heard the name Vector in a long time. Never knew Jimmy did a song by them but i'm not really surprised as he did that great cover by Daniel Amos.

Vector rules - I have their last album, "Temptation" and it's great. I am looking for their earlier works, so if anyone has original vinyl or CD re-issues they don't want, hit me up!

I'd love to hear this cover, if anyone has it!

MetalFro, I got their Time Flies compilation a few years ago for about $20. This is all pre-Temptation material. I'm not sure what the availability of this collection is, but Amazon.com might be able to help. Wink

I'd like to have it as well, since I'm both a Vector and a D fan! I've actually been listening to Vector's first 2 albums a lot lately.
