The blues rock band Cornerstone is making a comeback. It has been 10 years since they released "Jesus Rides Harley Too". After a couple of years off, they have regrouped and are continuing to take their blues metal sound several steps higher. They are returning this year with a new CD and new name: Stonefuze. The new disc will be on CM/Rivel Records.

Cool news. I just discovered this band a few months ago, and I'm totally digging their sound.

I went to their MySpace and listened to the songs there, as well as reading the write--ups too.


After having done that I can say this:


1. "This". Hey......I said I could say it. Just proving a point.


2. I like this band a lot and their 'sound' is cool.


3. When the new STONEFUZE comes out........

Whoosh......in the vault it goes.


4. I went looking for their older stuff after reading your post and going to their site. All I could turn up was the album JESUS Rides Harley Too. But I bought it from the vendor and now it is coming to meeeeeeeeee!!

The first two Cornerstone CDs are a little tricky to find. I actually bought one of them from a dude in Australia. These two discs are a lot less metal and more rocked out blues. Think Georgia Satellites with a much gruffer vocalist.

As Cornerstone, they released these three CDs:


Dust
Flying Gasoline
Jesus Rides Harley Too


The first two are more "Christ focused" with their lyrics. With J.R.H.T., the music became heavier, and the songs took a much lighter approach with the message. I don't know why the change, but it is still a great release. I am proud to have all three in the coolection.

I'm missing the "Flying Gasoline" release.
