I just felt like I should start this thread. I know that there are a lot of members of different bands who frequent this board. I think we should make this thread to let them know how much they appreciate them for their work toward building the Kingdom. As there are many musical styles present, not everyone will like all of them, so please only post POSITIVE comments aimed toward bands/artists who frequent the board. I don't want it to be a commentary about who you like, or don't like, just a thread so the artists among us can receive a blessing from us for a change.

I will start off by saying that I greatly appreciate Torb. The work he has created with different bands is great, but I wanted to let him know how much I admire his gentle spiritual side that allows God to shape him and mold him into the man God desires.

I was very moved in the thread about Hero when Torb mentioned he had envisioned preaching to the masses, but now God has moved him toward one-on-one evangelism. I agree, this is spiritual growth and I just wanted to say thanks for allowing God to work through Torb and his music.

Would love to have Torb involved in a CMR CD project!

I think a lot of Justin Murr. I love what LNJ is doing by working with so many great artists. He is putting us back in touch with some of our old favorites in the Christian metal scene. He is also reaching out to guys in the secular scene. He's upfront and honest, and I think he wants to win some of these guys to Christ without beating them over the head. Asking them to do his projects is a great way to minister to them and let those guys deliver the message to their own hearts through the lyrics they are working on!

Ditto on the guys already mentioned.

I enjoy so many of the artists here. But my favorites include Ultimatum, Temple Of Blood and Liberty 'N' Justice.

Oh, and since we have celebrity's here from time to time also, I'll add Deliverance and Tourniquet, 2 bands that were instrumental in my spiritual and musical upbringing!

I have long been a fan of Ultimatum for holding the metal banner high, even when it wasn't popular to do so. Not only are they unashamed of their Christian faith and beliefs, they also are not afraid to say, "but you know what? We're fans of other, non-Christian bands also", which lets a lot of other Christians know its their decision to choose what they feel they can listen to. And, while its a pretty courageous stance to take, its even more courageous to record a tribute album of sorts to those non-Christian bands, as it is pretty well guaranteed it will leave some people angry with the band, despite the fact that this could be the key to opening the door to the ministry Ultimatum puts forth on their other records.
