| Blind Guardian's lead singer is a Christian and their stuff is certainly not anti-Christian or blasphemous. A lot of fantasy stuff, however... Arttie _________________ Constitutional separation of church and state is a lie; it is a figment of the secular-progressive's imagination.

| I like CIIC not sure how Christian friendly the lyrics are and I have read in an interview that Zack is a Baptist but when I saw them a few months ago almost all of them were wearing pentagram necklaces. I wish i could have met and talked with them but I was not able to. |

| Well, their older stuff had some anti-religion lyrical content, but I think that's all it was...anti-RELIGION, not anti-God. Plus, they don't fall into the power/prog/traditional category...at least not for me! Thrash!! |

Aye, aye, it has. Especially since he's been in all kinds of non-metal projects over the years. |

If I remember correctly, Hansi was raised Christian and still considers himself a Christian but a "questioning Christian" or something to that effect. Wish I could find the interview he did when talking about that. | Although Hansi did refer to himself as a "questioning Christian" I would wonder about what he believes based on the information he gave regarding a couple of the songs on their latest disc: | Quote: | Turn the Page It's about the Wicca-Religion and the ritual of renewal. Center of the story is the horned one - later he was deformed by the church to Satan.
The Edge The Edge is about Paul and the way he designed the legend about Christ and therefore elevated Christ to God. |

| Hammerfall is pretty much Norse laden. Nocturnal Rites is typical european pagan themes. Try: 7th Reign Adiastasia Antithesis Balance of Power Circus Maximus Crystallion Eternal Legacy Factory of Art Firewind Heavenly Helloween(not all) Human Fortress(sneaky christian band) Iron Maiden(newer) Iron Mask Jag Panzer Jorn Keldian LanFear Lechery Lillian Axe Megadeth(newer) New Eden(old) October 31 Omen Order of Nine Paragon Phantom X Pharaoh Planet Storm Primal Fear(not all) Prototype Rychus Syn Sacred Oath Seventh Omen Sinner(not all) The Vengeful Few ThunderStone Thy Majestie Twisted Tower Dire Winters Bane Wretch Zephaniah It is important to note that many of the bands listed may have some paganistic thought or mythology on occassion in their music. The difference is it isn't a constant theme and is often used as storyline, rather than in a evangelistic manner. Hope this helps! I spend quite a bit of time researching bands before I invest my time into obtaining their music. Everybody has different convictions on this as well. You may be able to listen to bands or music that I can't or vice versa. Don't settle for garbage though, because there is plenty of good quality christian friendly metal music out there. Enjoy! I would take issue with these two, for different reasons. Lechery's lyrics contain many references to sex. For many, they are not a problem; but for someone trying to keep with "clean" lyrics, Lechery is not for them. And I have all but one Primal Fear album, and I don't have an issue with any of them. I would label them clean. |

| Riot has one in their "Privilege of Power" CD called "Storming the Gates of Hell" which is definitely Christian, it is actually Biblical... The CD is pretty positive as well except for the song "Black Leather and Glittering Steel" |

Hi there, please post a link to that information. May be my English isn`t very good but I can`t see even a hint of such a message in "The Edge`s lyrics": http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/blind_guardian/the_edge.html I`ll definitely not cease to listen to them but I`ll be a little dissapointed. Either way I listen only to the albums up to the masterpiece Imaginations From The Other side. |
