Any Christian bands that sound like Fear Factory or anything of the likeness? Just wondering.

I've been trying to find industrial metal bands. There are a ton of "Industrial bands" but not alot of them are metal. Screams of Chaos is kind of an industrial metal band.

Not industrial at all, but Soul Embraced "Immune" album sounds a lot like Fear Factory.

Not many current industrial bands. Try Coriolis if you can find them, maybe.

As much as I love metal, I prefer my industrial to be metal free...ala Mental Destruction, Sanctum, Azure Skies, In Slaughter Natives, Genocide Organ, Bocksholm, Stratvm Terror, etc.

Anyways...you may want to try Argyle Park as well.

First 2 Circle of Dust albums
plus Metamorphosis compilation
Under Midnight
a few Argyle Park songs
Chatterbox (sounds like Ministry)
Aleixa
Generation
Level

That's all I can remember, none really like Fear Factory although Circle of Dust-Brainchild is probably your best bet, or Level's first album which I can't remember the name of.

Try http://www.flamingfish.com for lots of Christian industrial bands, maybe some with guitars.

A rare Whipping Post sighting.

Generation is probably the most metallic industrial band.

Mortal's album "Fathom", if you can get it....

I'm not as familiar with this genre as others.

'Yeah, but' nothing, dude! Klay DID NOT write most of the lyrics. The debut has SEVERAL PROFANITY-LACED songs on it. Many tracks on all 3 Criss Angel albums that Klay worked on are EXTREMELY sensual and a few are very New Age. I own them. I appreciate them musically, but I'd NEVER try to pass them off as 'Christian' in any way. Your ignorance of this band is blinding. Klay publicly renounced his faith on the Howard Stern radio show back in '99. Thankfully, his MySpace message for Christmas '08 showed signs that he's coming back around. You amuse me. A member of a band claims (at one time) to be Christian. Yet he does not contribute to its lyrical content and message in any way and you insist on baptizing it as 'Christian.' You obviously haven't heard any of it. Don't mislead this brother who is trying to find a Christian alternative to secular industrial by recommending music that you clearly cannot speak about first hand. Most of it bears little resemblance to COD. Celldweller has F-bombs as well, in addition to sensuality.

"Inside this fantasy, it seems so real to me, synthetic ecstasy, when her legs are open" (lyrics from 'Frozen' by Celldweller)

Those sound like blue-ribbon-worthy 'Christian' lyrics to me....NOT!

Congrats you have one upped me as I do not even own any of the Angeldust stuff or Celldweller. Razz

I have however visited with Klay even though it was a several years back, he admits the project with Criss Angel was bad from the start. One he went with for fame and money. Is that short sighted probably.

All I was doing was telling many who like the CHRISTIAN Projects that Klay had done about his other works, be it less or not enough Christian for someone is for them to decide. Hence, again me not owning the albums in question.

Has Klay fallen away maybe, do I still love and respect him absolutely.

It is this kind of Legalism and Judgmentalism that has drove many away from the faith that they once had IE Pete Stewart, Marcos Curiel, Doug Pinnick, Rob Rivera, Jeremy Dawson, Chris Burney, Scott Brewer and on and on.

The blood of Christ is stronger enough to lead a few back to the Cross however, and for this I fall down on my knees. For awesome and mighty is he!

I'm not disagreeing with you about God's power to restore his people. I'm not being 'legalistic.' I hope Klay went home immediately after the Howard Stern interview and repented, but he did say, "I'm no longer a Christian," which is VERY DIFFERENT from saying I'm no longer doing 'Christian music.' People renounce their own faith. No one does it for them. Those who blame others for why THEY THEMSELVES aren't Christians are making excuses and living in rebellion against the knowledge of Himself that God has placed within every one of them, according to Romans chapters 1 through 3. It's the oldest cop out around, yet so many people fall for it. Regardless of what Christ's people do, be they alleged or otherwise, does NOT change who Christ himself is, what he accomplished or the implications of his command to repent, believe in and follow him. Christ himself did NOTHING wrong to any of the aforementioned individuals. People have been blaming others for their sin for a very long time:

The man said, \"The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.\"
Then the LORD God said to the woman, \"What is this you have done?\"
The woman said, \"The serpent deceived me, and I ate.\" (Genesis 3:12-13)

Imagine for a moment how asinine it sounds for anyone to tell God, "I can't serve you MYSELF because someone who claimed to follow you let me down." We're each accountable to God for our own actions. We've all sinned, fallen short of God's glory and require the same grace in order to be saved.

There's no 'Gospel' message in any of his post COD material, either implicit or explicit. There certainly is much whining about being lost and his rebellion against God though. 'Symbiont,' 'Fadeaway,' 'So Sorry to Say' and 'Welcome to the End' contain that in spades. That's exactly what it is, rebellion. Jesus himself NEVER failed Klay or stopped loving him. Klay's attitude towards Christ should never have changed even if his lyrical focus did. Like I said, his Christmas '08 MySpace message indicates that he's not completely apostate.

Howard Stern KNEW COD was a Christian band & specifically asked Klay about that, which surprised even me, after which he replied, "I'm no longer a Christian." You would take it at face value if a pastor said the same thing. Why cast it in a different light for someone else? It's still different than saying,
"I'm not doing Christian music anymore." All he had to say was that he'd said all he needed to about his faith and wanted to write about other subjects in his lyrics. That would've saved face with his Christian base AND opened his music up to a wider audience.

Howard Stern , seriously man consider the audience. The attitude some take toward some of these musicians drives them away. You got to admit the C word attached to most bands kills the sells before the bands are ever given a chance.

It is impossible reach someone with the gospel message if they already decided not to listen to or buy an album on the basis that it is Christian. The unsaved person does not want to be judged or preached to or have a guilt trip thrown at them and to say your Christian, this is the first thing that comes to mind for most nonsaved.

I personally do not agree with this approach but I understand it. So when someone says they are not a Christian maybe they are and maybe they are not. Bono has not said he was a Christian in a very long time but to me his fruit seems to indicate that he is.

And U2's Christian content hasn't hurt their album sales one bit. Even Steve Jobs, a devout Buddhist, says they're his favorite band.

This band should have been huge. WAY ahead of their time in terms of combining poppy female vocals and heavy guitars in such a fashion. One of my favorite bands of all time, seriously.

I know. I've been friends with Kevin 131 for 12 years. Laurel's voice is amazing! She's a cool gal. I wish they'd record another album.
