Is that any different than Saviour Machine's Legend albums? It's the same Dispensational reading of Revelation as the one found in LaHaye's books. It's just presented differently. |
Not quite, but yes Eric is a "futurist". I think he believes in mid-trib, kind of like spliting at half time! |

The same could be said of the CD by Revelation Project or Saint's "The Mark". _________________

| The "polka-infused concept album" of that subject has already been done by the polka band THE ALASKA BUTTON BOX GANG. You can probably Google (TM) the stuff if you want to hear it bad enough. _________________ "The 'farce' is strong with Obama-Wan." words of Scourge.

True that. But this thread, along with that great interview, is putting me in the mood to play it today. _________________ "He had discovered Time and Death and God"-Aldous Huxley |

I would have to disagree with the inconsistent part. Hell Destroyer and Darker than Black rate right up there with albums like Something Wicked and Dark Saga. This is the best band out there right now playing the Iced Earth, Priest, and Maiden style of metal. I saw them in a small club in San Diego back in January, and Sean Peck and the bass player were extremely nice guys that were very approachable. |

| I'm really disappointed in Sanctuary for having them play, I know these guys and they are NOT Christians, or maybe they truly don't understand what a believer of JESUS is, many people think they are because they believe in GOD, like so many other religions but that don't cut it. Just ask people who know them like past band members. LIke the Bible says: by our fruits we will be known. Let their my space speak for itself, it sure doesn't look like GOD glorifying to me. |

| | Well, Intense Radio plays secular music as well as christian, Klank played the Santuary stage last year and I don't think they even claim to be christian. In fact, the Cornerstone fest over the years has opened up it's doors to both artists and speakers who are not christian, I suppose this could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. |

| | Its a bad thing. The Bible warns against false teachers. Satan loves to mix a lot of truth with a little error. A little yeast ruins the whole loaf. |

Bands are not "teachers", no one should be getting their doctrine from rock/metal bands! As far as speakers, I was refering to the speakes who are artists, or who are speaking on social issues, listening to them long enough you can tell they are not christian. That need not be a bad thing though, we can work w/unbelievers on many levels. |

I understand what you wrote above but could you clarify exactly why you are disappointed with Sanctuary? Just curious. |

Why doesn't their myspace glorify God?
Well, at least it's good to know that they're not christians. Thanks for the info! _________________

Yes, but Hell Destroyer sounds more to me like a lot of error thrown in with a little truth. No different than many movies, or supposedly Christian books.
I LOVE the sound, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it all. The more I listen to the lyrics and story, the more I wonder if it was a good decision to get it. Of course, I also LOVE the sound of some secular bands, but refuse to listen to them/buy them for their lyrical content.
Not surprising when the whole Hell Destroyer album centers around an imaginary "relic"...the hammer that drove the nails in the cross. Sounds like all the real life error from history with the Holy Grail, Shroud of Turin, knucklebones of saint so and so, enough little supposed wooden splinters of the cross sold all over Europe that if you put them all together instead of the size of the cross you'd have enough wood to build Noah's ark.
I'd rather something (story, music, movie) be absolutely neutral and secular (not talk about spiritual things at all), than to have it be somewhat related loosely to something resembling biblical truth. |
