| Glad to hear a public statement from 3 DD as i've heard some rumors about them. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. I concentrate on spotting and weeding out satanic paper, handkerchiefs (do you really want Satan that close to your nose?) and eggs. I can spot satanic eggs at Wal Mart like a frickin' drug sniffing dog.

| | Quote: | | Though artists are sometimes hesitant to talk or sing about their faith, Arnold said it wasn't a concern for 3 Doors Down. "We all grew up in church and we're all Christians. We were happy to do it," he said. "There was no discussion at all of whether or not we should." |
That is very cool, I had no idea they were Christians._________________ -- Peace, that brief moment in history when everyone stops to reload. |

| Bon Jovi doing "Keep The Faith" is hardly gospel. That song is all about keeping faith in yourself, not in God. I'm not trying to slam JBJ, but at the same time, he's not a believer, and I don't care for someone acting like they are. Check out the lyrics from another song on that same album, "I Believe": Don't look up on your movie screens In record stores or magazines Close your eyes and you will see That you are all you really need
The Bible would say that's a very evil message to believe that all you need is yourself. We are poor, pitiful, naked and blind. We need Jesus! That's the real "gospel". JBJ doing gospel with these kinds of songs is just not right. |

| Granted Bon Jovi is far from Christian, but you know I will give them the benefit of the doubt and applaud them for participating. To me it's no different than some of the artist that Justin gets on the LnJ albums. I mean I don't know them personally but I would venture to guess that guys like Sebastian Bach & Stephen Pearcy aren't exactly followers of God either. But you know what it's cool that Justin can reach out to these guys and for them to sing on his albums even thou thier faith is different than Justins |

| The Cd has an overall Gospel feel I bought it for the 3DD and JBJ songs the 3DD song is really good..as for them being Christians on the last album they put out the lead singer was inspired quite a bit by the devotional Wild at Heart. THey seem like a good bunch of guys. |

I think, for me, the difference lies in the fact that Justin pays those guys, so they're not on LnJ because they're supposedly Christians. Rather, its a paying job for those guys. This gospel album is supposed to be an effort by a bunch of mainstream artists to sing a gospel album for the love of it. And perhaps, they mean "gospel" as a style of music, rather than the spirit behind it. I don't know. |

However, those songs were written years ago. You don't know if he has changed or not, as you are going off old lyrics for your statement.
Also, I think you are misinterpreting the lyrics, you listed, just a little. What I get out of those lyrics is that you don't have to try to be, or be like, anyone else. You can be yourself. Be happy for who you are, basically.

| If you ask me, it would be better if JBJ did "Bang a Drum" from the Young Guns II soundtrack since that song is actually about prayer (though the "i could kick this bad world's expletive deleted" line would have to be changed |

is probably the heart of the matter. It's simply about having an interest in the musical style. Think about how prevalent gospel music underpinings are in a lot of rap and R&B that is ANYTHING but Godly music....... _________________ Obama is no more the Anti-Christ than George Bush is Sauron, sending his armies into Iraq searching for the One Ring.....
