When Terminate damnation came out, I actually kind of liked metalcore and was very very impressed with that album. I looked forward to the next disc for a long time. when finally physics of fire came out I was ultra disapointed and kind of lost interest when I really got into thrash and punk later on. I should check the new album sometime.

Used to really enjoy this band back in the day. Still do from time to time. Back before I got out of the core phase, I thought that Terminate Damnation was the greatest metal album there was.

lol!

Still think it's great, just not as good as I thought it was. Twisted Evil

I enjoy all three of the bands releases, but my favorite would be TD, by far. Next would be Physics, then Dichotomy. Favorite song is Epoch of War, followed by Ex Nihilo.

Don't listen to them too much nowadays, as my tastes have changed a bit, but I still dig em'. I'll probably take a listen to a few of there songs now, actually.

Absolutely LOVE BTA!! Every album is top of the line.

They give me faith in the younger metal guys out there! I'm one of those old bitter metalheads who holds newer metal bands in comparison to the older stuff that started it all. I'm an old Death metal guy and was there when the classics were being released...and to this day...BTA in my opinion are right up there with the classics!!!

Also I dont get the "metalcore" tag these guys get?? A few break downs here and there and they get a metalcore tag...total bull!!

Asphyx, Pestilence, Entombed, Dismember...etc all had groovy chugging parts that could be labeled breakdown parts and no one is labeling them "metalcore"!!!

I Think its because of the vocals... same for Living Sacrifice!

I dont get ANY of the labels. if its hard fast and heavy got good solos or at least good guitar rifs, who cares it rocks. I call it metal. most any metal is good, especially if its for Christ. I honestly dont get into the secular stuff because of the negativity. life is tuff enough dont need my music constantly reminding me of that.

Well I'd take his vocals over ANY of those "toilet bowl" vocalists any day.

I'm trying not to label these days. After half a decade of doing that its hard to break off. I was REAL bad when I first came here about labeling (Christian or secular).

Oh by the way, Mr Arnie, I can tell by your lack of posts you are new here. Welcome!

My 19-year-old brother-in-law played a little of Becoming The Archetype for me last summer, and I am a fan of the original thrash/death phase, and I couldn't really get into BTA. However, they ARE very talented in what they do. It's not my thing, but I will admit that they do have bursts of brutality.

Probably among the more promising young bands.
