Anyone getting the new Kreyson disc from Retroactive?

I had their two English CDs years ago. For some reason, they just didn't click with me and I either traded/sold them off. But, I have heard some samples of the new disc on Retroactive (re-recordings of past works) and am interested.

Will it be worth the money?

I have heard the name, but I have no idea what Kreyson sounded like back in the day or now.

I might purchase it, however i would prefer to have the first pressings

The original pressings are too dang expensive now. This is, by far, the most affordable way to get their best songs.

I had heard of the band before but never even heard their music until just today.

It is definately on my wants list hopefully sometime in the next few months I'll be able to pick it up.

i got it, it is actually rather good.

the only thing that i was wondering was, there is 11 tracks listed but only 10 on the cd

I have the originals of these two, but I can't get into the vocals really. Not bad albums, but not frequent players.

The songs sound great and were all rerecorded, so the production is quite good as well (not that the originals were shabby). I still like the first 2 albums in Czech better, though...the Czech tongue flows so much better in the songs since that is how they were originally written. It took me a LONG time to track down Angel on the Run and Crusaders in Czech...well worth it though!

I have both originals, Angel on the Run is my favorite cd. I just wonder how much better the quality is on the new cds?

I have it. It's very good. Though I do have the Kreyson CDs, I never familiarized myself with them enough to even recognize the songs on this new CD.

I hate these cheap looking digi's with the rubber knobs!

This new Kreyson disc is a re-recording of some of their old stuff, whereas some song titles are absolutely unfamiliar to me, comapring them to the two original English releases Angel on the run (czech: Andĕl
na útĕku) and Crusaders (czech: Křižáci). Maybe there is new stuff on it as well?!

These guys released two more albums as Kreyson, but only in Czech language. The titles are Elixír života and Zákon džungle. Both are absolutely great releases. A Best Of album simply named Kreyson - Best of had been released in 1996 as a closing chapter. After the band's founder Ladislav Křížek reformed the group, they released a live album together with a live dvd in 2007, called Třinec 2007. Included was one new song, Salome which is also to be found on this new Retroactive output.

I loved Kreyson and their sound, but I agree with drindustrial that the original czech versions of the first two albums sound better, because for the singer Ladislav Křížek it was and is easier to sing in his native tongue.

Ladislav Křížek released a couple of solo albums as well (cool stuff!!!) and is quite famous in Czech Republic. Two of his previous bands prior to Kreyson were Radegast and Citron.

I'm excited to get this new output quickly!
