Ace Frehley... a Christian?

Just read an interwied with him in Sweden Rock Magazine. He talks about his Lutheran upbringing, and that he still consideres himself a Christian. He doesn't wanna elaborate much, becasue he says it doesn't fit well with the rock star image!!!

Too bad he can't be man enough to just own it. Hope he is sincere in his faith.

Peter Criss has also stated he is a Christian.

He has repeatedly mentioned God on his website.

He also mentioned he did not approve of some of the scenes in the movie Detroit Rock City.

Maybe he's just being cautious...maybe he's not wanting people to get the wrong idea...maybe he's still working it out...maybe he wants to not have himself be put on some pedestal by Christians (as we tend to do)...

Easy there Shawn, you have to know i'm not one to jump on someone for where they're at in belief. I was responding to the part where he says it doesn't fit well with the rock star image. I would like to see him make God more important is all.

I remember back in the day there was a metal edge rockers roundup asking musicians what their fav holiday was and ace mentioned Christmas because "it celebrates the birth of Christ and im a Christian".

People may think I am crazy but even way back after it happened I always thought that a difference of religious views played a small role in Pete and Ace getting kicked out of KISS. Pete was always open about faith. I remember reading a quote where Pete referred to God and Christ in Cream Magazine back in the late 70's! Gene is literally hateful towards Christianity. Gene has posted some very hostile comments against Christianity on his site. We all know that Ace's drug use was the bottom line and final straw but I wonder could the fact that Ace and Pete had some ammount of faith played into Gene's emotions just a little bit?
