| Take a look at the Mission Of One MySpace page. There are three rough mixes of some new songs. The leads are still rough, and the vocals are all I've got. I am looking for a new singer, and I am going to be trying to use multiple guitarists to make the leads come to life. But, you will definitely hear a classic hard rock sound with plenty of grit. I might be stuck in the 80's but there was no better decade musically to me! Take a listen, and let me know what you think! The three songs to look for are: No Other Feed My Sheep Gloryland Mission of One MySpace_________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| Wow, those sound great, Chris! Out of the three, I like "Gloryland" the best. Has a real AC/DC vibe. Your songs get better with each new batch! _________________ |

| No Other - heavy Saint vibe...could use some solo fills Feed My Sheep - don't know if its the demo or what will be the "real" song, but the drums need beefed up significantly. They almost sound St. Anger-ish. Otherwise, nice song with a cool message. Gloryland - this is cool...has an ole time gospel feel to it. Like Bill Gaither does metal. Nice! I like the direction you're going. This sounds like a promising start to a new album. Looking forward to hearing more details (singer, guitars, etc.) and to hearing the final product. |

| These three songs are rough mixes. I did not do anything more than just play them off to the CD burner. I did minimal EQing just to hear how it sounds. These are nowhere near done. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| Yes! This is what I like, that biker sound fits you well. _________________ I don't have time for all if it, so I pick my battles. | Are you going to distort the guitars like you did on Show Me The Way? I love that album, but I always thought it would have been even better if the guitars weren't so fuzzy sounding. |

| I thought it was the distortion on the VOCALS you didn't like, FOJ? The guitars were just a preset on an old effects unit I used to have. Nowadays, I dial in my tone on my P.O.D. As far as guitar tone goes, these three new songs are pretty much what you will hear. Most of the EQing will be on vocals, leads, and drums to make them sound better. Sure, I'll tweak everything, but I am trying to catch my sound on guitar and bass as close to the final sound as I can. Dial in the sound, go straight to recorder, and you get pretty much what you wanted when there's no tape involved. _________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

| "Gloryland" is brilliant but like the heavy duty chorus on "No Other". Don't know if I would compare it to Saint but it is one of the heaviest Mission Of One songs yet. |

It's ok. The 70's would have appealed to me more had I been a teenager then. the 80's were my time, and that music meant the world to me! But, one of the songs that are still lacking drums, have a very 70's breakdown in the middle. I think you'll like it, bro._________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

That's exactly how it should feel! I wanted to rock out an old hymn, but I wanted to keep the vocal feeling of the original. I also wanted to do something that I did not know of anyone else doing before me as far as rocking it out goes._________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |

I'm using a set of Yamaha electrics. I'm getting some decent sounds. I might have to retrack the one song where the snare sounds like Metallica. How'd we get that piccolo snare sound on there, anyway?
I used to have a cheaper set that mistriggered a lot. With the Yamahas, I get a great sound without having to eat up so much floor space with a drum kit and isolation booth. Also, my neighbors never complain with the sound level. It's a win-win for everyone. When the CD is mixed and some reverb added to my kit, I think a lot of folks won't realize that they are listening to electrics. When the mastering is done (yes, I'm gonna have this pro mastered this time), I think it's really gonna shine._________________ "I have no desire to speak w/other tongues, I already do enough damage w/the one I have!!" - Candlemass |
