Old Testament: Genesis, 1st and 2nd Chronicles, 1st and 2nd Kings and Daniel.
Genesis, Chronicles and Kings, for the historical content, as I love history.
Genesis especially intrigues me, because there are some unsolved mysteries in that book, such as who are the Nephilim? Or that Methusaleh's name means "when he is gone, it will be sent" i.e. the Flood, because the year Methusaleh died, the Flood came. Another thing worth noting is that Methusaleh lived to be 969 years old, older than any human being. This just shows the mercy of God for giving man time to repent by having Methusaleh live so long.
Daniel, because of it's historical and prophetic content.
New Testament: the Gospel of Luke and Revelation. Luke, because I love the detail of the life of Christ that Luke carefully wrote out and Revelation, because I just love bible prophecy and it is a companion book to Daniel.
