Is this "Jewish Jesus" the same one as mentioned in the Bible?

Yes, it's the Gentile Jesus that is not found in the Bible. Jesus was a Jew.

I know nothing of a "Gentile Jesus", but I know of the One who calls both Jews and Gentiles to repentance. I'm also aware of Paul who said in Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, who also considered his Jewish heritage in the flesh rubbish compared to knowing Christ.

I think it's good for us to know our Jewish heritage, salvation is from the Jews. However from what I see in the new testament, they are no better than us for being Jewish according to the flesh.

I think even for us Gentiles it is highly informative to understand Jesus within a Jewish context. So much of his life and ministry make so much more sense when understood that way.

I completely agree. Not to push this, but...heck, I'll push it. My faith has SENSE and meaning now. I can defend the truth. This is not for just meat eating believers. This is for the milk drinking ones as well.

I agree that the Jewish heritage is very important.

He has a special covenant with Israel.

It will make the scriptures come ALIVE.

If you don't understand Judaism, at least in a small way, how can you understand everything that Jesus did? (the why, what, how, etc)
