I sure do. and before I do it I would yell "HEY HEY LOOK AT ME I'M BATMAN!!!!"

I have been in a literal God-awful bad mood for the last 12 hours.

I dont know who I think I am trying to be a Christian. Here recently I have been thinking about how life in sin and just not caring is so much easier. I truly felt free then... i feel chained up in a cage nowadays...

Hang in there WV. You are a Christian because of God accepting you not what you do for Him. I'm not trying to be a jerk but sometimes it seems you feel you need to do something for God to show you are a Christian.
As for the freedom of sin, i've been that route for many years, there's nothing but bondage there. I understand the temptation of sin, truthfully, some sin is fun for the moment, but it leads to a bad place.

I have my hard times as well. It just goes with the territory, with being human. You are not alone by any means.

And sin is decietful, all sin promises to serve and please, and it does
for awhile, but it ends up enslaving and dominating. There is no real
freedom there, bro. Hang in, and hit someone up here on PM if you need
to talk. We're all here for you.

Actually BR you are right. I always feel the need to do more. I really start to wonder if I really am saved because Im not doing this or that or feeling this way or that way all the time. Its literally driven me nuts. Im really burnt out, tired, and sick cause of that. fear of Hell has reigned over me more than the love of the Savior. I am literally to a point now that I know God is real and the bible is true but I just cant live the way He wants. I dont really understand what it is He is wanting out of me. Rather than make me better its just made me ill.

The fact that you worry about all this stuff tells me ( And hopfully you) the Spirit is alive and well inside you. We all go through this. Some of us more than others. The cool thing is it seems that God knows this before we do so he puts people ( Or a Forum) in our paths that we can Rant and rave too, and our friends can be there to help us re-focus. Bottom line is your a Christian. God Loves you and the heavens rejoiced the day you made the decision to join his Kingdom. It doesnt mean you wont stumble and feel like dirt sometimes. But you will always be saved forever. By the way I and many here go through what you do......its part of being a person here in the world, remember God is right there with you always and he is not condeming you..............

I think it's safe to say most everyone on here understands how you feel because we've been there in one form or another. And I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but just have faith in who God is. Remember that He loves you, first and foremost and that nothing--no feeling, difficulty or hang-up--will keep us from that love.

I've got my hang-ups and sins and I can say it does no good to lean on them. That "freedom" is fleeting and really feels disgusting after a while.

Also, a saying I've heard my mom use is "when you can't see his plan, when you don't understand...trust his heart." Keep running the race. I'll be praying for you.

Bro, I've been there, done that with the "guilt tripping" myself over stuff. Not feeling the same way about various subjects (hair length, music, style of dress, etc.) that the Christians I looked up to in my youth did....things that THEY made HUGE issues over that I felt were INCREDIBLY trivial, an dfeeling like I obviously wasn't "christian" enough. Feeling like no matter what I DID do, it wasn't "good enough" to get me into the "christian" area, and all that crap......and this was a youth spent IN THE CHURCH, twice on Sundays, Wednesday evening services, EVERY youth group function....mom and dad taught sunday school, were in the choir (I was in the choir once I hit 15). I was guilt tripping over this, that, and the other thing, missing out on the Big Picture about what a relationship with Christ is all about....I was MISERABLE inside, and all too THANKFUL when things at church went south when a new pastor came in, and I had an excuse to get the hell away from it all......

It just HIT me suddenly one day.....God sent his Son to DIE for what I had not yet even begun to do in my life. things I wasn't even aware I would do somewhere down the road.....and that nothing I could do....NONE of my behaviors, no matter HOW "holy" they might be would ever be "good enough" for that. He knew us before He ever formed us....and that goes right down to every little detail and struggle with sin we have. He KNOWS we will struggle. He KNOWS we will fall, and.....it doesn't matter. He KNOWS, and he STILL made the sacrifice, with full foreknowledge of our actions! He loves us DESPITE our flaws, INCLUDING ones we haven't even realized we have....and when He has something He wants to change about our being, He'll let us know. I have to say, personally....I've not EVER felt a "guilt" reaction to a conviction laid upon me by the Spirit.....it's always been along the lines of "it's time to fix this".....and I've ahd SIGNIFICANTLY less trouble holding to those decisions.

I wasn't seeking GOD'S approval with the way I was striving, but I was searching for MAN'S approval to be "Christian enough". the GUILT I felt wasn't "conviction from God", but "condemnation from man"......and I'd urge you to check your heart, and consider prayerfully what is going on...are you looking for "man" approval, or laying your heart at the feet of God? It doesn't matter how "christian" you are, it matters where God is in your heart........

Points:

1. Every post on this thread is golden (even the stuff by Mark--Candlemass, he knows--as do we all dude, very much so what it feels like to feel, as you have said in your first post).....please, please read them all again. Let them sink in.

2. The above point said.....read them all again.....however, the ones by Exo, BFTD, and ProPan are the best......probably because they say the most. But man.....those 3 are nice and accurate IMO......heed them. Words of Christian wisdom.

3. The CREATOR and SUSTAINER of the multi--verses wants to be with me. Me. I'm really good at sin.....I loved it, and rejoiced in it, as a non--Christian......and even now I stumble, get it wrong, and willfully disobey sometimes. That makes me human. Join the club of sinful humanity. I'm forgiven, and so are you......the belief in CHRIST saves you. Your CHRIST--like actions and thoughts stem from that belief.

Your first post Metaller4CHRIST......get over it......move on and serve HIM. We've all been there, what you say in your first post.

How cool is it that GOD HIMSELF died for you......lives inside you.....and wants fellowship with you?? Reach out and hold onto that. HIS love for you Metaller4CHRIST is love defined.

Man......don't agonize over ****.......don't. There is no point or reward for/to that. None. Just rejoice in HIS love for you......and move on.

4. Read the other posts again. I know I already said that, but on Sesame Street (TM) the Muppets (TM) have a tendency to say important things repeatedly. So I do here, too. I paid attention......Big Bird (TM) and Grover (TM) would be so proud of me.

Read them......let them sink in......we've all been where you are at. Yeppers.
